This girl, she loves her food!

“This girl, she loves her food,” so my mother told my boyfriend within the first week of meeting him, just in case he hadn’t noticed yet. She is right, I am a foodie and I’m not ashamed. If I had one wish, I would wish for the ability to eat as much as I want without gaining an ounce of weight. So far this wish has not been forthcoming.

But does it even matter? Beautiful people come in all shapes and sizes so why don’t we all just eat, be merry and never mind the excess layers of subcutaneous fat? Well, because health matters more than almost anything. Billy Graham, the American Evangelist, put it very well when he said, “When wealth is lost, nothing is lost; when health is lost, something is lost; when character is lost, all is lost.”

I am not weight obsessed nor am I BMI obsessed but I do want to look in the mirror and think I look good, I want to go out to the shops and pull out a size 10 dress (that’s US size 8), and have it fit. I want my family and my husband to see me as a fit and healthy individual that will be with them for a very long time to come but I lose track and my weight starts to get out of hand without me even noticing. Many of my friends have the same problem.

One thing’s for sure: I am not willing to give up my food! I can only endeavor to eat less. But when I’m still at my desk at 9 p.m. working to a deadline, miserable about my presence in the office at that hour, my commitment to eat better loses meaning. My misery likes pizza and chocolate cake and I’d rather be happy than thin so you know who wins that argument: Mr Pizza and Ms Chocolate Fudge Cake.

Busy moments pass and it’s then that I realize my weight is out of control. I need a tool that is more focused on my weight than I am, that’s where Fat Creep™ comes in. It’s an easy to use  app for your phone focused on just one thing: tracking your weight to ensure it’s within your ‘happy weight range’™. Set it to remind you to weigh yourself weekly and Fat Creep™ takes care of the rest.

Fat Creep™ offers you more than that. You don’t have to be tied to BMI ranges. To set your desired min and max weight, Fat Creep™ gives you the power to set your own ‘happy weight range’™ levels.
