A 15 minute Recipe for a Homemade Pasta Sauce

This is definitely one thing you do not need to buy in a bottle. To make your own you will need:

• 1 tablespoon of oil or a bit of water
• Seasoning (salt pepper and some dry mixed herbs)
• 1 Onion
• 2 chopped medium-sized tomatoes 
• A small or medium-sized carrot chopped
• A hand full of fresh herbs, e.g. basil or parsely

Optional

• A handful of mushrooms
• Chopped bacon or chopped ham or one chopped sausage

You don't need this!

​Recipe

• Sweat the onions in a bit of oil (or water) with the carrots. Add the seasoning. 
• If you’ll have mushrooms in your sauce, add them in with the onions and carrots.
• Add the tomatoes then cover the pot up until the tomatoes become 'mushy' and soft.
• If you want chopped bacon or ham in your sauce add them in when the tomatoes are soft.
• When the sauce looks like it’s ready, throw in the fresh basil or parsley.
• Finally, pour the sauce over your boiled pasta and it’s good to eat.

This should taste way better than anything you can get out of a can or bottle.
